The Great Lakes Loons are once again hoping to uncover some of the region's most talented individuals on Saturday, February 11 from 9 a.m. to noon, in the fourth annual "Mid-Michigan's Got Talent". Top qualifiers in the event will be invited to showcase their skills during a Loons home game in the 2012 season.
With the 2012 baseball season approaching, the Great Lakes Loons are seeking a number of seasonal game day employees to help make Dow Diamond the best it can be for all 70 Loons home games this summer. John Shoemaker, who led the Great Lakes Loons to the team's third consecutive winning season last year, will return to manage the Loons in 2012. The Los Angeles Dodgers made the announcement Thursday, December 22. Shoemaker will be joined in the dugout by hitting coach Razor Shines and pitching coach Hector Berrios.
