The Loons have teamed up with MidMichigan Health to present the all new Lou E's Fit Club, a kids club turned "fit" club designed to provide children the information, resources and tools necessary to become more active and physically fit.
What began as an ordinary day for the Great Lakes Loons front office staff turned into a puzzling one when a large box from an international shipping company arrived at Dow Diamond on Wednesday afternoon.
With the 2012 baseball season approaching, the Great Lakes Loons are seeking a number of seasonal game day employees to help make Dow Diamond the best it can be for all 70 Loons home games this summer. John Shoemaker, who led the Great Lakes Loons to the team's third consecutive winning season last year, will return to manage the Loons in 2012. The Los Angeles Dodgers made the announcement Thursday, December 22. Shoemaker will be joined in the dugout by hitting coach Razor Shines and pitching coach Hector Berrios.
